Most of us in the towns or communities we live in are involved in various activities on a daily basis. Whether they be social, ethnic, business or family related we all stay active in some way. These activities provide outlets for creativity and involvement which we use for stimulation, enjoyment or a sense of belonging. Keeping busy in our daily lives gives us a feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction. Whether it be a club, association or team we all search on some level for belonging and involvement.
As carwash operators in Connecticut, our state association is an excellent organization in which we all can and should take part. Active membership provides many opportunities for social, business and professional development. The minimal time commitment required is more than paid off by the many events provided throughout the year. The Mini Expo is always a great chance for meeting with vendors and learning how we can improve upon our wash operations. Our annual golf invitational provides an informal and relaxed atmosphere for interactions with fellow operators and industry insiders followed by a delicious dinner and prize raffle. The annual Holiday Gathering is a fitting celebration to mark the start of what we all hope to be our busy season.
It is clear that for minimal expense ($250 for operators and $300 for vendors) and maximum benefit, the CCA provides an excellent outlet for involvement with positive benefits to all. I would hope that anyone not currently an active member who is eligible would consider becoming one soon. New faces and fresh ideas are eagerly anticipated and always welcomed!
